• Chukwuemeka Uzoma Okoye

is a professor of Agricultural Economics at University of Nigeria, Nsukka. With a PhD and MSc in agricultural economics and agricultural extension as well as a diploma in Environment and Development from LEAD International Institute, Rockefeller Foundation, New York, he has had varied working experience including as an Agricultural credit Analyst, farm manager, and, since 1990, lecturer and researcher at Department of Agricultural Economics, UNN; Centre for Rural Development and Cooperatives (CRDC),UNN; and Centre for Entrepreneurship and Development Research (CEDR), UNN. He was Director of CEDR (2011 to 2014) and Director of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC), South East Zone (2011 and 2013). Prof Okoye has had several research fellowships from local and international research funding agencies including Council for Development of social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA, Union for African Population Studies (UAPS), African Technology Policy Studies Network (ATPS), Social Science Council of Nigeria and was the 1998 Guest Researcher at the Nordic Africa Institute, Uppsala Sweden. He won the first prize in Africa in the year 2001 Award of Sustainable Agriculture by Support Africa International, Berg, Germany. Prof. Okoye’s consultancy experience spans the World Bank, USAID, the European Union, UNDP, DFID, SLGP, IITA, ILRI, Fadama Development Offices, Abuja, Owerri, Enugu, and Yenagoa, and the Nigeria Economic Summit Group (NESG). He supervised the SEEDS Bench Marking exercise in Kano, Jigawa and Katsina States and facilitated the training of top civil servants in Kano and Jigawa States on participation and community involvement under SEEDS. He is the founder and President of Lions Microcredit Society, Nsukka, Nigeria. He is a member of many professional associations and networks including Nigerian Association of Agricultural Economists (NAAE), International Association of Agricultural Economists.

is a Technology Economist with 28years cognate experience, with EURO/American/Japanese multinational corporations such as NCR, ICL Fujitsu, Monsanto/Merisant Country consultant reporting to Europe, middle East and Africa Region. The career exposures lead to managing portfolio’s associated with manufacturing, financial industry, oil and gas and business profiling and business intelligent systems solutions in UK and Nigeria.

  • Obiageli Ifeyinwa Okoye

is an expert in human nutrition and dietetics. She holds a MSc in the subject from University of Nigeria Nsukka and is currently pursuing a PhD at the Department of Hone Science, Nutrition and Dietetics of the same university. She has worked as a nutritionist at Usman Danfodiyo Uniiversirty Teaching Hospital, Sokoto, Nigeria and also has experience as a Programme Assistant in the Central Bank of Nigeria Entrepreneurship Development Centre (CBN/EDC) project under the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Development Research, UNN.
